About Us
Some traditions are preserved in museums.
Others are meant to remain alive.
HeIncise was born from a lifelong relationship with the art of Chinese seal carving.
As the founder, I grew up learning seal carving from my father, through quiet hours of observation, practice, and repetition. Alongside this, I studied Chinese calligraphy and painting, disciplines that shaped my understanding of form, balance, rhythm, and restraint.
These experiences taught me that craftsmanship is not merely about technique.
It is about patience. Intention. Character.
And above all, meaning.
In Chinese culture, seal carving is far more than the making of an object.
A seal is a mark of identity.
A personal signature.
A vessel of memory.
Historically, seals belonged to scholars, artists, collectors, and thinkers—not only as practical tools, but as intimate expressions of self.
Yet traditions survive not by remaining unchanged, but by finding relevance in new contexts.
That belief became the foundation of HeIncise.
Our vision is to bring the art of Chinese seal carving beyond its traditional boundaries and into contemporary life around the world.
Not as a historical artifact.
But as something personal, wearable, collectible, and alive.
At HeIncise, we reinterpret this centuries-old craft through a modern lens.
Some pieces remain rooted in traditional forms.
Others evolve into wearable seals, sculptural objects, and one-of-a-kind pieces designed for modern collectors and those drawn to meaningful objects.
Every piece is handcrafted.
Every stone is naturally distinct.
Every engraving carries the human presence behind its making.
Because natural stone is never uniform, and handwork is never mechanical, no two pieces will ever be exactly alike.
This is not imperfection.
It is authenticity.
We believe the most meaningful objects are those that carry story, material truth, and the trace of the hand that made them.
HeIncise exists to create a bridge between cultural heritage and contemporary life—to allow a uniquely Chinese art form to be experienced, appreciated, and reimagined beyond its place of origin.
Thank you for being part of that journey.
